We phoned to book a table at 11.30 and had the last one available. On arrival at 12.30 there were only a few in but by the time we left about an hour later it was very busy. Our meal was fine and the service good.

A few were outside enjoying the sun whilst inside there was a steady flow of people taking lunch which, for us, was very tasty. Pleasant service too.

Ah the Trout. Isabel when wadding in the river. I sat with my dad in the garden and watched her. My old corner of the pub is now laid up for food.

Once called the Victoria this is a large detached pub on the banks of the River Stour near Wye railway station. The garden runs down to the river and is very busy in the summer. Lots of tables for food consumption. 4 handpumps on the bar counter.

We have visited this pub 93 times, seen 72 different beers and tried 52 of them.
