First port of call on a tour of Kent Micropubs. A very wet Saturday, we all got a thorough soaking when we left to catch the train to Ramsgate.

We arrived just as the doors were opening for the lunch time session, the place soon filled up with good crowd of people, a most enjoyable visit.

Usual buzz, not too busy, not too quite, just the right atmosphere.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - 80/- | 4.60 | | Nice but a little sweet for me. |
Dark Star - Revelation | 5.70 | | Very nice, shades of Hophead here but on a richer hoppier, smoother level. |

Comfortably busy, this new pub seems to be doing very well, and why not? The beer is very good.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - DogBolter Dark Porter | 5.60 | | Nice porter, chocolate, toast and malt, good hops, perhaps it needs a touch more body? |
Tring - Jack O Legs | 4.20 | | Copper,colour good honest bitter with good hops. |
Wantsum - Dynamo (superseded by 4.3% version) | 4.60 | | Light colour, thin head, hoppy with some citrus, nice finish. |

Comfortably full, customers coming and going all the time we were there.
Moorhouse's - Black Cat Mild | 3.40 | | Excellent, chocolate and coffee with a balance of hops. |
Tring - Side Pocket for a Toad | 3.60 | | I liked this,full on citrus from cascade hops, clean crisp taste, lovely finish. |

Busy on a Friday evening, visited on way back to rail station from Berry beer festival.
Dark Star - American Pale Ale (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 4.70 | | Lovely and hoppy, good nick and good temperature too. |
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Red Top | 3.80 | Not Tried | Fresh on. |

Standing room only at 6pm, managed to get a seat fairly soon, nice welcoming atmosphere.
Hopdaemon - Green Daemon | 5.00 | | Just had a taste, tried this before and not to keen but this was good, fruity and crisp with a good clean finish. |
1648 - Ruby Mild | 3.60 | | Nice mild,sweet and nutty with some caramel, a bit hoppy for a mild. |
Titanic - Plum Porter | 4.90 | | I like this beer, sweet and fruity, lovely stuff. |

Very busy when we arrived but soon settled down to a comfortable level. Had a chat with Mark about the pub and suggested a few beers to try. Nice pub and good beer.
Vale - Gravitas | 4.80 | | Malty pale ale with good hoppy finish. |
Titanic - Deck the Halls | 4.20 | | Titanic Christmas beer, dry and malty, nice hop and spice finish. |

I made the mistake of trusting the maps on my mobile phone and ended up at King Street Walmer, instead of King Street Deal. The pub was much busier than I expected, and thanks to the fact that the landlord was expecting a delivery, he stayed open after the usual 2pm closing time.
