Popped in for a pint on my way back to Deal rail station from The Berry. Busy and a good buzz of conversation. 3 beers were on of which I can't remember one of them and 2 ciders on too.

Unusually for the JR thee was live music on, something to do with a folk festival I believe. A bit noisy for me but at least the beer was good.

A celebratory drink to note my redundancy. Roger Marples should have been with us but sadly passed away seven days earlier. As it was 10 of us gathered and had a good day under the circumstances.

I’ve been in some small pubs, but I think this is my first time in one so small that it is officially ‘micro’. Pleasant atmosphere. I was not put off even by the one duff beer.
