Sunday lunchtime. This is a gem - the only brew-pub in the New Forest. A Wadworths house but with its own micro-brewery supplying about 75% of the real ale according to the very enthusiastic landlord (he gave e a brief impromptu tour of the brewery). The pub is very large and was busy but very friendly and relaxed nonetheless.

BeerABVScoreNotes
Wadworth - 6X4.10ExcellentNot had this for yonks! Like Doombar today or landlord was a few years back 6x use to be everywhere! Not so today and its a shame as its a very good best bitter bursting with the most typical of Wadworths key notes i.e very oak heavy. Lovely :)
Red Shoot Inn - Forest Gold3.80ExcellentThis also has that smokey taste but its an extremely enjoyable light session bitter :)
Red Shoot Inn - Tom's Tipple4.80GoodOne of their own, takes a while to get use to, it has a very smokey aftertaste :/

We were driving back from Lyme Regis and this pub is about half way. It takes a bit of finding and you have to look out for ponies on the road up to it. The pub itself is a cavernous affair with plenty of seating inside and out. The kit for the Red Shoot Brewery can be found by the front door. The staff were friendly and efficient.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Red Shoot Inn - Muddy Boot4.20GoodDark mild with a smoky flavour and plenty of sharpness to the finish and very little hop. Not bad if a little tart.
Red Shoot Inn - Forest Gold3.80AcceptablePale gold colour with a real manure/stilton aroma to it. Very low hopping as far as I could tell and that manure smell was in the taste too. Not unpleasant just a bit odd.
