A lunchtime stop whilst driving north. A very nice, welcoming pub in a pretty town.

GBG entry 2010 (first time)and now in 2011 guide. In the High Town. Another very nice old pub. Quality food menu and plenty of pump clips adorn the walls. Good ale selection too.

The pub is found in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, WV16 4AB.

An 18th century inn with two bars offers a warm welcome to regulars and visitors. An outbuilding is home to the Hop & Stagger Brewery. Murals by a local artist adorn the lounge and outside walls. Good pub lunches are prepared from locally sourced produce, and seven handpumps offer a selection of LocAles, national beers and Thatcher's cider. Outside is a terrace, lawned garden and childrens play area. A regular venue for a storytelling group, folk club and quiz teams, folk & blues music, and beer festivals are held in summer and winter. Card carrying CAMRA members receive a discount.
