Stop 2. Early Father’s Day event with my daughter. What a gem of a pub - the landlady gave us some “pennies” to play her old mechanical amusement machine game, joyful. We then sat in the sunshine in the idyllic garden.

We had planned to visit the nearby pub called The Pub but that was closed and in darkness, luckily for us this place was open and welcoming even though What Pub told us it is closed on Tuesdays. We sat in the comfortable saloon bar on the left and enjoyed several beers.

Early evening visit, a few others dotted about made for a relaxed comfortable experience in this classic unmodernised proper pub. I was full to the brim after our recent superb curry nearby I couldn't even manage to finish my half I'd ordered!
