15:00 visit. Another JD "bashed"! A Wirral line train to Bebington and a short walk finds this very decent place. Fair crowd in too.

The pub is found in New Ferry, Merseyside, CH62 5AD.

Found on the main drag through this small Wirral suburb, typical ex shop conversion type, one level, open plan and named after a former Poet Laureate, whose portrait, causing local controversy, is depicted in the pub sign, does not look dissimilar to A. Hitler! Opened in 2007, a current 2013 Good Beer Guide entry and in 2011/2012 too. Placed up for sale by Wetherspoon September 2022 with 31 others.

We have visited this pub once, seen 5 different beers and tried 2 of them.
