12:00 My birthday lunch with the family. The pub was very busy with diners and drinkers. It manages to combine diners in three areas and drinkers by the bar in a way I have seen few other pubs achieve so effortlessly.

12:30 Having been recommended this place by the barman at its sister pub in Ormskirk I brought the family for lunch. Very busy with diners and drinkers. Good choice of beer, excellent food and friendly staff.

Brewpub in Liverpool Road North near Burscough Bridge railway station. Hop Vine Brewery (formerly called Burscough Brewery) is located in the rear courtyard. Country pub interior with wood panelling and wood/tile flooring throughout and decorated with historic local maps, photographs and vintage bottled ales. Three dining areas with a central drinkers area in front of the bar.
