Mid-afternoon. Apparently it is National Gin Day, or somesuch, but I settle for a pint. It is also somebody’s birthday and there is a bit of a party going on in the garden, with live music.

Fairly busy warm summer's evening, we had an hour to kill before our last train back to Tunbridge Wells in this friendly pub with only a minor emphasis on food.

Late-afternoon with 50 minutes to kill before the hourly train towards London and at the end of a long walk. Years since I have been here, but every bit as nice as I remembered it.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Badger (Hall & Woodhouse) - First Call4.00ExcellentThis may or may not be the same beer as First Gold, I’m not sure. Either way it was very nice, with a light, brambly, taste.
Badger (Hall & Woodhouse) - Hopeful Hop4.60GoodAn amber-coloured beer, hopped with Celeia. Full-bodied and muted citrus.
