20:30 Fascinating interior. The barmaid was very helpful showing us how the snug worked and lighting the cigar lighters.

The pub is found in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG1 2RS.

A pub of two parts. The Vaults Bar has a fairly modern feel but the other bar is very different. On CAMRA's Regional Heritage list the main bar is formed from the original coaching inn yard. The bar counter runs down one side and the wall is lined with spirit casks. the seating is a series of booths that at one time were curtained for privacy. The round table at the far end of the bar can become a snug by swinging across a mirror and a small gate. The bar is gas lit and there are two working gas cigar lighters on the bar.

We have visited this pub once, seen 5 different beers and tried 1 of them.
