Skilful timing allowed 30 minutes for a quick one in here before the train after a walk through the forest from Brockenhurst. The food side of the pub was rather busier than the bar.

The pub is found in Ashurst, Hampshire, SO40 7AA.

A large Victorian-era pub set at the edge of the New Forest, with commanding views from the rear garden. Inside there is a comfortable bar area and a near-separate restaurant room, with conservatory and garden beyond. Very handy for Ashurst railway station.

We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
