Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Hogan SamplingExcellent14 Jun 2025 This best bitter from a brewery I do not recall trying before as in Tatton, north-east of Knutsford and south-west of Manchester, came with very good head and lacing and lasting throughout my half sampled. A moreishly dry bitter first hit. A pleasant maltiness rising up and lingering with the odd hoppy note thrown in for good measure. Apparently Tatton Brewery shut for some four months last Spring but reopened in June 2024 under new management care of Kent-based brewery, Wantsum, at St Nicolas At Wade, and based south-west of Birchington-on-Sea.
