Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Hogan SamplingGood17 Jan 2026 2nd beer of this visit: Presented as the colour of light amber with good head and lacing and lasting on this West London winter ale from Mitre Way, London. A hint of biscuity caramel rising in its bittersweet maltiness. A good hoppy bitterness winning over with hints of citrus fruit and derived from a mix of both English and American hops. A malty caramel note prevailing to join the trapeze act. A maltiness with a moreish bitter edge exiting its platform on its final downwards journey.

The Furze Wren, Bexleyheath, Greater London
