These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

| Hogan Sampling | | 21 Mar 2026 | This amber-coloured special bitter from the Marlow Brewery, known as the Rebellion Beer Company, an independent microbrewery based in Marlow Bottom, a village north of Marlow, Buckinghamshire, came with very good head and lacing and lasting all the way. A dry malty first hit. A fruity hoppiness rising from its Fuggles and Goldings, along with Amarillo or Cascade which is used as late additions to lend a fruity citrus and tropical touch as well hints of dried fruits like raisins or dates. The odd sweet malty note jumping up with touches of caramel and toffee derived from its Crystal Malt, mixed with Maris Otter Pale Ale Malt and Chocolate Malt. A biscuity, marmalade-infused flavouring emerging onto the taste buds with hints of bread and chestnuts. A dry bitterness prevailing before sailing downwards. Served in top condition and very moreish. |
