Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Hogan SamplingExcellent22 Feb 2025 I ordered this half at the same time as the 3rd half. Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer cash rather than card and so my only criticism but maybe this aids keeping their beer prices down in not having to spend time counting the cash. A foaming head was repeated for this very moreish pale ale and the lacing lasted the whole time on the side of the glass. A dry, hoppy first hit. A hint of fruity hops coupled by a dry and very slightly malty mouthfeel. The merest hint of caramel sweetness from these malts was lingering. Still the cheapest of the day compared to elsewhere and at just £3.00 for a half.
