Hogan SamplingGood20 Dec 2025 2nd beer of this visit: This festive dark ale, from the 2014-launched microbrewery between Erith and Slade Green, presented very good head and lacing and lasting admirably. A spiced malty first bite. A dry bitterness hurtling up with a spicy maltiness winning over from its five blends of malted barley and wheat. A touch of dark fruits climbing. A caramelised toastiness sliding downwards aided by being infused with brandy. A walk along the river before the next watering hole was very welcome after this one.
