Pre-arranged early opening at noon for our cycling group. 8 of us made it despite the weather. Really helpful here and a good session enjoyed by all.

Mid afternoon- swift visit to check that they can open at noon for our cycling group on Maundy Thursday. They can and they will. A few in.

We came for the Goachers Mild and unfortunately there were only 2 pints left - which we had. Busy with the rugby on.

Having seen Jack's reviews this was on my list of pubs to visit. Nicely done out pub. For those likely to visit this weekend they apparently have two firkins of Goachers Mild on!

Liked this so much last week I cycled back in the sunshine today. Quiet but welcoming just after 1pm opening.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Long Man - Rising Giant4.80ExcellentSuperb pint.
Kent - Drenched3.00GoodA blonde ale with good citrus flavour. Brewed especially low to tempt those wavering about dry January I believe.

Here with my bus-pass group, 7 of us. The pub had opened by arrangement slightly earlier than the 1pm advertised time. A group of 5 others already in and taking advantage. Very good service and happy for us to bring some food in from the nearby chippie. Three ales on as we arrived, one finished but two more added in our two hours here. About a dozen other customers in. Good to see a well patronised new pub, especially in January. Ale prices £4.20 and £4.40 a pint.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Long Man - Long Blonde3.80Excellent
Kent - Brewers Reserve5.00ExcellentSuperb beer in top condition.
Wantsum - Ravening Wolf5.90GoodFresh on. Good condition but rather too sweet for my preference.
Kent - KSB5.10GoodTraditional strong bitter with a nuttiness, towards the end of the barrel but still very drinkable.
Tonbridge - Old Chestnut4.40Not TriedFresh on.
