Hogan SamplingGood23 May 2025 My 8th beer: Good head and lacing and lasting on this mild from Hackney and made with Turning Point from Knaresborough, north-east of Harrogate in Yorkshire. Auburn in colour and a very dry first hit. A moreishly malty sweetness rising up in its bitterness and following the 1895 recipe from Rose's Brewery in Malton, North Yorkshire, and so hence its name! Rose's Brewery was founded in 1767 and acquired by Tetley Walker Ltd in 1965 and brewing ceased in 1969 according to breweryhistory.com.
