These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Hogan SamplingExcellent06 Sep 2025 This Mighty Oak-brewed Essex blonde from Maldon presented a good head and lacing and lasting throughout. A fruit-infused first hit. A pleasantly dry fruity hoppiness rising aided by its First Gold and Azzaca hops*. A hoppy note or two jumping with its fruitiness. Then a hoppiness gently bobbing up and down before sailing off with its dryness lingering. Very refreshing and did just the job before our walk via the Wetherspoons to Leigh-on-Sea Brewery's taproom to meet up with some SE London CAMRA friends. *First Gold, a dwarf British hop, offers a blend of citrus (orange), spice and floral notes. Azacca is a modern American hop known for its tropical fruit (mango, papaya), citrus (grapefruit, orange) and piney characteristics.
