Hogan SamplingExcellent04 Oct 2025 My first tasting of a Green Hop from Shivering Sands this year from their microbrewery situated just outside Manston Airport and in a region with a long tradition of hop growing. Also referred to as the Green Goddess by the brewery in using the green hop to give the beer a grassy, earthy and citrusy flavour which I certainly detected. Very good head and lacing and lasting superbly. A fresh hoppy first hit emanating from the local Deal Hop Farm. A dry hoppy, mild bitterness rising, with its volatile oils in tact having escaped the drying process of normal hops, and gently ebbing out in the aftertaste.
