| Hogan Sampling | ![]() | 28 Dec 2025 | Only some head and lacing to start with on this Manchester-brewed stout. A very malty first bite. A dry, dark fruitiness rising. A hint of chocolate malt, roasted barley, red rye and flaked and golden oats in on the mix as detailed by the report on it. Flavourings of molasses, cocoa nibs and caramelised brown sugar joining in. A hoppiness winning over aided by its British-grown Chinook and Cascade hops and with a good measure of fruitiness paddling out. |

| Hogan Sampling | ![]() | 20 Dec 2025 | 2nd beer of this visit: Very good head and lacing and lasting throughout on this Manchester brew from some of the arches below Piccadilly Station in Manchester. Founded in 2020, their first beers became available from February 2022. A dry malty first bite from its 12 blended malts. A gentle dark chocolatey note rising and joined by hints of roasted coffee beans. A hoppiness winning over aided by its British-grown Chinook and Cascade hops. A good maltiness carolling out with a touch of sweetness from its molasses, cocoa nibs and caramelised brown sugar. One sufficed as a touch too sweet for my taste buds! |
