| Hogan Sampling | | 21 Mar 2026 | Presented with very good head and lacing and staying the course on this seasonal hazy amber brown ale recently featured in the JD Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival and from this independent, family-owned Scottish farm brewery founded in 2001 and located on a 4,500-acre working farm at the head of Argyll’s Loch Fyne. A slightly nutty as well as hoppy first hit from its trio of Mosaic, Motueka and Rakau hops. Caramelised notes rapidly rising. A defined malty edge winning over with its toasted malt. A hoppy bitterness to my taste buddies with gentle fruit flavours of citrus and stone fruit lingering on its final passage downwards. Moreish as served in good condition to keep me suitably entertained during that long wait for the curry to appear. |
