Hogan Sampling		25 Jul 2026	Very impressive head and lasting lacing on this ruby red ale from the market town of Masham, North Yorkshire, and whose brewery was founded in 1827. A fruited but dry bitter first bite on this Spring Ruby and which is a red-coloured cask ale brewed by Theakston Brewery as a seasonal exclusive closely mirroring the flavour profile of Theakston's famous Theakston XB Premium Bitter. A hoppy bitterness rising from its English Bramling Cross and Fuggles hops. A touch of malty sweetness winning over from its English malted barley lending flavours of caramel, toffee, rhubarb and apple fruit. A dry hoppiness but fruited with berries sliding downwards. In fine form with good conditioning.
