These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Charles | 06 Jul 2006 | Despite being the worst pouring of a pint I have ever seen the taste was quite acceptable. Only one hand pump here in a fairly busy little pub and the bar maid was cheered by the fact that it was a busy day so their one real ale would soon run out (this was about 3pm). Watched in horror (trying not to laugh) as our pints were poured with rapid and vigorous yanking while trails of froth fell into four pint pots far below. A rather old looking and torn beer mat was then used to hold back the froth as the contents of the various pint pots were decanted together to make two full pints. |

Refreshing, smooth & sessionable beer. It is renowned for its golden color, full-bodied flavour and malty, morish taste with smooth, tight creamy head. Brewed in Manchester since 1778, Boddingtons has an ABV content of 3.8% and 4.1% in cask.
