Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Hogan SamplingExcellent05 Apr 2025 My third sampling of this visit was another offering from the Droxford-based brewery, north of Portsmouth. Very good head and lacing once again and holding throughout. A dry bittery first hit. This was followed by a hoppy mouthfeel and an ever so slightly sweet touch from a hint of caramel in the flavouring. A dry bitterness then lingered.

IanExcellent05 May 2007 Copper, clear, lasting white head. Really good, aromatic, floral, elderflower aroma. Very good. Absolutely gorgeous in fact, and the best British beer of the Saturday at Reading for me.
