Bear & Ragged Staff | | 29 Dec 2012 | I always struggle with this beer, it is so good but difficult to say why. Good all round beer. |
Bear & Ragged Staff | | 25 Jan 2012 | A deep golden ale with good body. I'm not sure why this beer was so good, there were no noticeably outstanding flavours. Whilst drinking this, I considered the presentation - well kept, perfect temperature, proper measure and served by a friendly person behind the bar. Back to the beer - it was three pints good. |

Ian | | 18 Jan 2006 | Golden with thin white head. Oaky/hoppy aroma, nice warm citrus flavours in mouth before hops kick in. Some yeast, especially on aroma. Not convinced in best condition. Maybe a little tired |

Ian | | 21 Nov 2006 | Gold colour with disappearing thin bubbly beige head. Grapefruity malty beer. Typical Slaters sweetness and fullness. I think it may be a bit tired as not as creamy. Mind you, I normally have Eccleshall beers up north through a sparkler. Juicy and sharp. Aroma is a bit farty. Rest is nice though, sharp citrus fruit with a bit of sweetness |
