These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Blair | 23 Jan 2010 | Malty and quite spicy, not great compared to the other two beers we had. |

Ian | 08 Feb 2009 | One of those Belgian beers, that JDW get in a cask. Hazy gold, lasting thin white head. Not much evidence of a Belgian yeast. Some ok fruit. Not much evidence of 5% alcohol either. Drinkable enough beer. Should be ok as not on last night when I walked in and out after not being served a beer that looked as though it was on. But obviously wasn't. End of rant. |

Dubbel | 05 Feb 2009 | Belgian amber ale casked at 5.0% ABV exclusively for 'Spoons. Distinctive Belgian yeasty/malty character, bit bananary, weak hops. Decent conditioning as always under current regime but not really my thing. |
