Surprisingly this was a mild and I only found out because the previous customer to me rejected it after a taster showed it was dark. On closer inspection the pumpclip did mention mild. The beer itself was black and true to Falstaff style, rather thin with a dry, powdery malt flavour and a short dry finish. My score 15/20.

On form here, a classic example of an East Midlands mild, black and fruity with hints of liquorice and a big chocolate malt kick. My score 16/20.

Not as good as it could be, I suspect a fairly old sample with vineous flavours taking over from the usual chocolate malt. My score 15/20.

The pub is found in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG1 2JS.
Long, thin City Centre Wetherspoon, always busy with a high turnover. Usually a good selection of guest ales on the pumps along with the regulars.
We have visited this pub 6 times, seen 6 different beers and tried them all.
