Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

The Society Rooms, Maidstone, Kent

AlenomoreExceptional06 Nov 2012 In tip top condition. Chose this ale option with the good value meal deal Ham & Chips!

AlenomoreExceptional22 Oct 2012 A genuine 5# beer. Big, spiced blond beer. Imported, lower strength, cask version of a Belgian classsic. Doesen't normally work in cask but this version was top class here.

The Samuel Peto, Folkestone, Kent

IanAcceptable09 Nov 2010 Bit lacking on hops and thin in mouth.

The Ledger Building, Docklands & Isle of Dogs, Greater London

DubbelExcellent19 Apr 2009 Imported from Belgium. Orange-gold with a tea leaf aroma and initial tea palate, then a bombardment of clementine fruit and mulled spices. Really impressed!

The New Crown, Southgate, Greater London

IanGood18 Apr 2009 Decent Belgian blond, some spice, some good rose petal fruit and plenty of estery fruit with a Belgian yeast aroma. I could have had more than the half I had.
