Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Martin the MildmanGood25 Nov 2010 Second sample of this and still not convinced, lacking body with a rather thin mouthfeel. Some roast malt but little depth of flavour. My score 15/20.

AlenomoreGood28 Oct 2010 Not too bad. Would have given it a 5* rating if it was stronger and more roasted. The same beer that I've had in Europe, is far better than this version. I'm not impressed with some of these "guest" brewers using UK breweries to replicate there beers.

IanAcceptable27 Oct 2010 Black, lasting dark beige head. It’s fine, some interesting almost meaty stout flavours. It’s okm but just a little lacking somewhere. Lacks intensity. OK. But disappointing. Not 5% ABV feel either, watery in mouth. Some choc on finish.

The Humphrey Bean, Tonbridge, Kent

Martin the MildmanGood23 Oct 2010 Fairly malty and sweetish stout but something wasn't quite there that I couldn't put my finger on. My score 15/20 - needs a retaste.
