After work, at a time when the drinking part of the pub is very much busier than the dining area. Mild enough for people to be in the garden.

I came here in the late-afternoon to partake of the beer festival, the beers mostly being set up on a stillage in the back bar area. Not too crowded in the conservatory, where I found a few familiar faces. But by early evening it was over-crowded and I moved on. Too many beers to list them all here, so just a selection named.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Salopian - Treasure Trove4.00ExcellentA golden-coloured beer, loaded with Citra hops for a yummy, fruity taste.
Kirkby Lonsdale - Jubilee Stout5.50ExcellentMy favourite of the day – a very full-on, black, roasted stout.
Skinner's - Royal Wave4.40GoodA smooth, hoppy and fruity beer.
Downton - Jubilation Ale4.20GoodA heavily-hopped brown bitter. Lots of different hops in the mix leading to an overall bitter taste.

Early afternoon and busy with diners. Good to know beer still plays an important part here instead of a sideline.
