Dark golden colour retaining a fine white head. Aroma and flavour swamped by biscuit malt and yeast leaving no room for anything else. Thin in the mouth for 4.5%.

Imposing granite building in Ramsay Road in an elevated position overlooking Banchory to the hills beyond. Thriving private members' club that will happily sign in CAMRA members - don't forget your card. Fine beer terrace and friendly lounge make this a worthwhile stop.
