Friendly, dark and loud. A metal music and real ale heaven. At some point they played some speed hillbilly music. I like the place.
Durham - John Duck | 3.80 | | Pale gold. Light body with a hint of rye or something |
Tiny Rebel - The Full Nelson | 4.80 | Not Tried
Celt Experience (now brands are owned by Evans Evans) - Papadam Cyclops | 6.20 | Not Tried

Quiet in the early evening (quiet in terms of customers that is, not in volume of music). Relative calm in back bar. Specialises in dark beers. CAMRA discount claimed.
Hop Vine (formerly Burscough) - Flat Rib Mild | 3.60 | | Black in colour and flat in condition. Decent enough flavour showing through though, with roast barley tastes. |
Eastwood & Sanders - Elland Back | 4.60 | Not Tried
Dancing Duck - Ducktor Who | 4.50 | Not Tried

Full marks to this pub for carrying a mild in May, CAMRA discount too. Friendly welcome despite the rather forbearing loud metal music.
Otter - Otter Mild | 3.80 | | Ruby/brown with a bittersweet malty character. Some hop in the finish which is quite dry. My score 15/20. |

A beer festival was in progress when I called in. Seem to be making an effort with real ale. Good music selection for lovers of Rock and Metal music.
Potbelly - Old Barsteward | 4.50 | | A fairly sweet and fruity copper coloured beer. The finish is more dry and bitter. My score 15/20. |
Hexhamshire - Devil's Water | 4.20 | Not Tried
Bath Ales - Barnstormer | 4.50 | Not Tried
Exmoor - Beast | 6.60 | Not Tried
