My first visit here - at least for decades. Early evening and a handful of drinkers around the bar. Nicely done pub - combining a modern restaurant with a more traditional pub area, comfy bar stools, pool and darts. Wasn’t keen on the TV blaring out a game show despite no one watching it.

I've been here a few times but clearly not since PubsandBeer existed! It's changed a bit since the early 2000's - I think they've built an extension on the back. Anyway, it was very pleasant. Part of the attraction coming here was the chance of getting some Goachers. It turned out that Goachers Dark is always on! Winner. Except due to a slight ordering mix up and high demand for the beer in the pub, they'd sold out and the next barrel wasn't ready to put on yet. Sigh. Oh well, a good reason to come back another time :)
