Beer | ABV | Score | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Greene King - Strong Suffolk | 5.00 | Ages since I’ve seen this beer available on cask. A deep ruby red, complex beer. Smooth and mellow, but with only a hint of the sour flavours (which perhaps develop better in the bottle?). | |
Wadworth - Bishop's Tipple | 5.00 | Amber coloured. Cloying and sweet. Is this really the same beer that used to have such a good reputation? | |
Marston's - EPA | 3.60 | An amber-coloured, easy-drinking, rather unchallenging, cheapo bitter. | |
Adnams - Broadside | 4.70 | Not Tried | |
Banks's - Young's London Original (was Bitter) - previously brewed in Bedford and at Wychwood | 3.70 | Not Tried |

The pub is found in Enfield, Greater London, EN2 6LE.
This is a large pub in a very prominent town centre position. It has had a rather chequered recent history and is now (2012) branded by M&B as a Samuel Cooper Freehouse – a chain which is superficially rather similar to the JD Wetherspoon chain. Subsequently (2013) rebranded to Oak Tree chain within M&B. Further rebranded to be an O'Neill's in November 2017.
We have visited this pub once, seen 5 different beers and tried 3 of them.
