Late afternoon a few customers dotted about in this bizarre proper locals pub in the middle of nowhere! Disappointing beer range on.

Lunchtime visit and comfortably busy. They seem very proud of their Cask Marque accreditation in here with the logo prominently displayed in various places including the menus. Smells permeating from the kitchen were the only downside here today.

19:00 visit. Same as Andrew, having passed this, or the tourist sign back on the New Romney road, many times before, we stopped off and found it very pleasant, good crowd, dog friendly and plenty still enjoying early evening meals. The menu looked impressive and good value too.

I've passed this pub a thousand times and always wondered what it was like. For some reason I'd always thought it was dark and gloomy - maybe because most of those thousand time were in the winter. Anyway, it was nothing of the sort. The rustic patio at the rear was lovely with views over wheat fields on one side and of the ancient sea cliffs on the other. The staff were friendly and efficient too.
