Busy early evening with mainly noisy younger folk attending. Good to see a proper pub doing well in deepest suburbia.

Has a number of drinking areas probably based on the original drinking rooms and sports 5 handpumps in a bank of 3 and one of 2. Conveniently located by the bus stops in the hail and ride section of the B13 bus service. Regulars name the pub Polly Clean Stairs presumably after a very fastidious former landlady.
