Lunchtime and fairly quiet at this time of the day. I had lunch here and was surprised to find that buttered winter vegetables translates in to English as peas. Very good service from friendly and attentive bar staff.

Only pub open before 11am in Richmond on the way to Twickenham so we though we would pop in. We weren't disappointed with the ale selection on offer, we will be back!

The Cricketers is one of the oldest pubs in Richmond, serving ale since 1770. Situated right on Richmond Green makes it ideal for a sunny day, watching a bit of cricket or for pre and post meets ups for Twickenham rugby games with the stadium less than a 30 minute walk away. Metropolitan Pub Co. is a Greene King pub brand. Although a traditional rugby stronghold cricket has been an integral part of The Green since 1690!
