I only came here when I found the nearby White Lion unexpectedly closed. It proves to be a great place to while away part of Sunday lunchtime with a newspaper. Relaxed atmosphere, local clientele.

Busy in the run up to football at nearby Bramall Lane. We took over a couple of tables in the garden. Noticeably welcoming staff here.

A suburban pub standing in the Heeley district of Sheffield beside the River Sheaf. Around 20 minutes’ walk from the city centre. Has a good sized main bar, an extension to the side and a small rear garden. Despite the name, the pub does not offer much of a view from the bar areas.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 12 different beers and tried 3 of them.
