Quite a few in and I managed to grab the last of the comfy chairs. Happened to meet one of my untappd friends for the first time and we had a good chat about beer and local beer festivals.

Friendly landlord, rather intimate in the front room in this micro pub. Barrels behind a pair of french doors in the window and cooled from there. Interesting selection of ales.

The pub is found in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, ST5 2RY.
The first micropub to set up in The Potteries Branch Area, opened mid-July 2014 and converted from an antiques shop; the bar is located on the right of the entrance and the cellar is in the window. The front area has high wooden benches, while the back room has more traditional chairs and tables, and can be used for functions. Four ales are served at any one time, with new and rare beers being a speciality; these can often change before your very eyes. Four real ciders are also stocked, plus bottled lager; a brilliant addition to the burgeoning Newcastle real ale scene. Customers are welcome to bring their own lunch and eat it while supping the beer. Oh, and watch out for the ferret! Third pint tasting bats are available, as are basic snacks such as pickled eggs and pork scratchings. Note that the pub is open all day on Bank Holiday weekends, including longer in the evenings.
