We were the only customers at 5 pm but others started to drift in whilst we were there. Friendly welcome and we chatted to the hostess about locale beers.

Two room pub, one for diners and one for drinkers. Large car park an extensive outside eating and drinking area. It holds beer festivals in the last weekend of June. Pub of the Year in the Maldon and Dengie area (2014).
