Arrived at lunchtime and had a grilled cheese sandwich.

Busy but we got a comfy seat and proceeded to talk a load of nonsense for a couple of hours.

Ah the Nottingham brewery pub in Ruddington. Top notch session with Cam. We even moved around rooms over time just because we could.

Went in at 6 to check the pub out. Lovely interior - slightly shabby chic in terms.of furniture but tastefully done. The bar is the centre of the pub though food is served too. There were 6 Nottingham Brewery beers on as well as a guest ale and an assortment of generic lagers. It felt welcoming though not obtrusively so. I felt completely comfortable sitting there by myself drinking in ale and atmosphere in equal measure.

Delightfully hoppy but with a hint of mellow floweriness. Not top of the barrel, but one of those rare beers (like Goacher's Light) that is wonderful at any stage of its life.

Absolutely delicious - hint of sweetness floated over the top of a more savoury flavour. Beautifully conditioned at just the right temperature. Apparently now available all year round.
The pub is found in Ruddington, Nottinghamshire, NG11 6DT.
In High Street, just taken over on a 7 year lease by Nottingham Brewery and re-named from being the Bricklayers Arms, this is a nicely done out traditional high street village pub with 6 Nottingham Brewery beers on. Food is served - apparently high class traditional pub food but I haven't tried it yet. Atmosphere is good - it sounded like Friday afternoon in the pub when I was there and just kept filling up. It has the potential to be one of the VERY BEST pubs in Nottinghamshire. The beer is genuinely exceptional - as good as Nottingham Brewery's famed tap, The Plough.
We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 11 different beers and tried 8 of them.
