ChrisEExcellent22 Aug 2015 It seemed strange to find this in here as I had spent the previous day touring Nottingham and did not find this anywhere.

Horse & Groom, Basford, Nottinghamshire

Martin the MildmanExcellent28 Apr 2012 A good sample here of this black mild. Intense roast and chocolate malt flavours giving quite a bitter kick to the beer, but a little caramel to take the edge off. A little hop in the finish. My score 16/20.

Royal Children, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire

Martin the MildmanExcellent03 May 2010 Very strong chocolate malt flavour with hints of toffee and liquorice and a hint of hop in the finish. Served a little too cold here. My score 16 (B for quality).

The Three Crowns, Ruddington, Nottinghamshire

AndrewExcellent14 Apr 2009 Fruity, malty with hints of milky burntness.
AndrewExceptional10 Jun 2006 Wonderful. Pear and peach flavours to start with quickly followed by burnt toffee and rich syrup. The finish was good and bitter

The Pembury Tavern, Hackney, Greater London

IanAcceptable14 Mar 2007 Very deep ruby/brown with lasting bubbly tan head. Slightly milky lactic mild. Not to my taste, really way too milky. Not as I remember it at Nottingham BF in 2005. Some roasted malts, but that lactic thing is just too much.

Nottingham Beer Festival 2005, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire

AndrewExceptional21 Oct 2005 Rounded, smooth, milky beer with roasted malt.
IanExcellent21 Oct 2005 Black beer with no head. Quite a hoppy nose for a mild. Good in mouth with choc/coffee kicking in. Good enough mild.
