There is not a great deal of room in here and there were six of us so we made a point of being outside before opening time to ensure that there was room for us. It only took a few minutes for the pub to become full but there was space for all. There was a good selection of Belgian bottled beers in addition to the cask ones listed here.
Bishop Nick - Witch Hunt | 4.20
Bishop Nick - Respect | 4.00 | | This ran out soon after I had this. Good to the end. |
Colchester - Brazilian Coffee & Vanilla Porter | 4.60 | Not Tried
Mighty Oak - Geeorge Gershwin | 4.30 | Not Tried

Maldon - Christmas Trifle | 5.00 | | Complex beer does what it says on the tin yet had a hint of coffee aftertaste |

We arrived just as the guv was opening up for the lunchtime trade, our group soon filled the place and many other customers squeezed in during our very enjoyable welcoming and extended stay.
Titanic - Chocolate & Vanilla Stout | 4.50 | | This had just come on so tried some and very impressed, instant smooth velvety chocolate flavour followed by vanilla, orange and finally cloves. Faultless in all categories. |
St Peter's - Golden Ale | 4.70 | | Lacking the fruity punchiness expected |
Big Penny (formerly Truman's) as of late 2022 contract brewed - Runner | 4.00 | | Found this malty sweet brown ale rather cloying |
Ramsbury - RPA Ramsbury Pale Ale | 4.00 | | Bland without much flavour of anything.. |
North Yorkshire - Flying Herbert | 4.70 | Not Tried
XT Brewing - Animal Brewing Lion London Porter | 4.60 | Not Tried

We stayed here for a good number of pints as our group got larger in number. A friendly landlord did not charge us for crisps. Beer list as already supplied by Magnus.
Titanic - Chocolate & Vanilla Stout | 4.50 | | Superb and proving very popular with our crowd. |
Big Penny (formerly Truman's) as of late 2022 contract brewed - Runner | 4.00 | | I had several of these and would have stuck with it but then the Titanic Vanilla Stout came on. |
