There was a bus load of us in a vintage bus with route 111 to Burmarsh on the route blind. Locals came out of their houses and some traffic stopped to photograph this rare event. Burmarsh is only served by one bus a week on a Folkestone to Ashford route these days. I think the 111 to Burmarsh as a destination ceased around 1973. Many of our group had not been here before and they all seemed to like the place. It was nice to see that some of the locals that photographed the bus also came in for a pint.

Busy on a late Saturday afternoon yet we all found somewhere to park and enjoy our beers. Even a curious motorist stopped and chatted to a few of our group upon arriving..

Late afternoon visit with a vintage bus full of topers. Impressive range of 10 real ciders in bag in box format.

Late lunchtime, a few at the bar and a few eating, although the separate restaurant area seemed closed. Bit disappointed in the general feel of the place to be honest. Had a pint of a Weltons IPA called Polling something- it was rather sharp - the Hop Fuzz much better.

Saturday lunchtime, a few customers and a very friendly blue merle collie pub dog. This pub looks like it hasn't changed much in the last 50 years - apart from the electronic cigarettes now on sale. Old Rosie cider on hand pump as well as the two ales.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Cotleigh - Seahawk Gold (formerly Golden Seahawk)4.20GoodAcceptable but not distinctive.
Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Crooked Top4.50Not TriedNot sure if the ABV is correct - not mentioned on the Old Dairy website at present.

Stop number 5. Got here just before 3 and had a pint in this great pub. Not changed for ages and it's a good place for a quiet pint with the locals.
