12th and final visit of the outing: Some of the South Hertfordshire CAMRA branch were here. They entered into good banter with me as recognised seeing me earlier and now over my final real ale and in this modest single-bar pub at 126 Victora Street, just some 5 minutes from St Albans' City railway station. Branch pub of the year in 2024. Busy but not overly and met with friendly, prompt service from the bar staff member for my mid-evening finale visit of the outing.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Tring - Shear Fright4.40GoodHead and lacing, very good, and lasting the whole way on this Tring-brewed ESB. A caramel-infused malty first hit. A bitterness rising and a sweet maltiness winning over before ebbing out on the tide.

Busy for my Saturday mid-evening visit but very close to the station but a good 10 minutes walk from the centre of St Albans. Friendly and prompt service for the 3 real ales on and a seat to be had.
