Wow, what a pub. Margates oldest and a real gem. Pity its Sheps.

All the pubs along the seafront were packed with bikers but they seemed not to have found this place apart from two of them who commented favourably on the Adamant urinals. Dave had had his leaving party the night before which resulted in all the cask ales being drunk and just a newly racked Master Brew available for today. New tenants have been found for the pub and they take over at the end of this week. I wish Dave all the best and look forward to meeting the new tenants soon.

The pub is found in Margate, Kent, CT9 1HE.
Small pub up an alleyway opposite Margate pier in Mansion Street. It's the oldest pub in Thanet and somewhere to be sure of a decent pint when in Margate. Would appear to have been sold by Shepherd Neame to private operators.
