The pub is found in Walthamstow, Greater London, E17 5AL.
This pub was present as the Victory by 1844, becoming the Dog & Duck in the 1970s. Proximity to the now sadly lost Walthamstow Stadium saw a brief renaming as Racers in the mid-1980s. The pub was extensively rebuilt in 1936 when it obtained a beer and wine licence, having previously been a beer house. Formerly a Watney’s house, it was allowed to become run down around the turn of the century and closed in 2016. It re-opened in 2017, hugely refurbished and much more comfortable. There are two large seating areas (one a former snooker hall) and a large garden at the rear. There is an open-to-view kitchen specialising in pizza. Four handpumps on the bar.
We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
