Fairly quiet apart from some idiot playing Baa Baa Black Sheep on a mobile device at a much higher volume than the pub's own background Muzac.

Often find myself with twenty minutes to kill at Richmond station so this place is a regular of sorts for me. Played a game of trying to make the barmaid smile, failed once again.

This pub has been restored to its former glory of 1855 when it was known as The Railway Hotel, one of several pubs in the famous Quadrant of Richmond. Today, the rooms have gone, but the pub remains and. Typical Nicholson's pub good value food and ale dispensed through 8 handpumps. Closed until 10th August 2022 for refurbishment then re-opened with a bright new scrubbed face.
