Wittenden		28 Feb 2012	I haven't been a fan of St Austell beer, but this was good. Bronze, thin head , refined carbonation.Grapefruit on the nose, marmalade on the tongue. Bittersweet:the malt was there but under control.Yes.

McGargle		25 Sep 2010	Light golden, well balanced ale. Grapefruit on the nose and light citrus and grassy flavours with lightly kilned barley. Careful use of American hops lead to a smooth moreish finish. If St. Austell can brew a beer this good there's no reason (except ambition0 why the other regionals can't.

Dubbel		22 Feb 2009	I was disappointed to see this was off when I arrived, having replaced the HSD pump since I was last here. On the way out I spotted that it had been recharged so I quickly sunk a power-half of this golden, hoppy, citrus-infused delight. Understandably popular.
Blair		09 Aug 2008	Poured through a tight sparkler. Malty and creamy, quite refreshing. Did the job.

Ian		02 Nov 2008	One of my favourite hoppy golden beers in the UK. St Austell also do a Cornish IPA bottle conditioned beer for Marks & Spencer which is equally good. Lots of citrus hops over a reasonably full, creamy body.

Ian		19 Jul 2007	Gold with lasting beige head. American lemon/grapefruit hop aroma. Good sherberty grapefruit on finish. Lacks a little in the mouth. Little bit lemon washing up liquid flavour. I must admit, I prefered the bottled version.
